Child Obesity 

Obesity in childhood is linked to serious health complications and increases the risk of premature chronic illnesses like heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Without timely intervention, children and adolescents with obesity are likely to remain obese into adulthood. The prevalence of overweight and obesity among 5–19-year-olds rose from just 4% in 1975 to over 18% in 2016, and currently, 70% of India's urban population falls into the overweight or obese category. Recognizing this alarming trend, Generation Saviour Association (GSA) actively conducts sensitization and awareness programs in schools to educate students about the dangers of sugary drinks and junk food, promoting healthier lifestyle choices and working towards a healthier future generation.

GSA is currently supported by Vital Strategies and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
